Want-it Wednesday

Chinese New Year started this week, and 2009 is the Year of the Ox. I hope you remembered to clean your house this past weekend for good luck! Take a look at these Etsy finds, in honor of the Year of the Ox.

Jin, who lives in Shanghai, cut this Chinese Zodiac Ox from red rice paper. The shop jinshanghai.etsy.com contains traditional paper cuts and wood block prints.

The silverplated O is for Ox necklace. This rustic looking oversized necklace was made by adorapop (Wales) with illustrations from a victorian alphabet.

Made bywhile she naps in abby glassenberg's home studio in Wellesley, Massachusetts. She normally makes sculptures of birds from fiber materials, but here she sculps an ox and cart.
