I hate to have to do this, but my button snap clips will temporarily be in limited supply. I order the majority of my metal hair supplies from an online company. I have always been happy with the quality of their products...until I got my last batch of 50mm snap clips. I always do my own quality control check, looking for a firm snap and making sure that the metal is not wobbly, warped or thin. Out of a batch of 144 only about 30 of them were of the same high quality I usually get. The rest were flimsy, didn't stay put, or had defects. Even the metal was not as shiny. I won't be using those (see photo of the unusable clips).

I sent a polite email to the company telling them that I have been happy with their products in the past and asking if I could send this batch back in exchange for another. I never got a response from them. So I am looking into other suppliers for my 50mm snap hair clips. I will still be using this company for some of my other supplies- but I am proceeding with caution. If you know any high quality suppliers with lead free tested 50mm metal hair clips, please shoot me an email! :)
I have a batch of button snap clips for some of my stores, a handful in my etsy shop, plus one or two more sets I will add online, but that's it for now. Get 'em while you can!
I'll update you as soon as I find another supplier. Quality is a priority. Thanks for your patience!
Wow, such a bummer! Did you end up ever hearing back from them? Such a waste.
ReplyDeleteMs. Belle-
ReplyDeleteNo, never did. I probably could try to pursue it further, but I'm really hesitant to take the chance on wasting money reordering them again! I wish they were produced locally, or even somewhere on the East Coast- but I haven't been able to find that yet. I will keep searching.
