Scenes from The Big Crafty Summer 2009

The Big Crafty was bigger than ever before, with vendors spilling out onto the street this year. Of course the soul and ska records were spinning like always, and there was even a little rock on the turntable this time around. Suzie Million$ was there with an amazing retro 1950's kitchen setup made from cardboard, wood, and vintage things. I satisfied a serious sugar craving with a chocolate strawberry cupcake from Short Street Cakes. I also saw lots of familiar faces that were recently in Atlanta for ICE (vendors and shoppers). Later, I had Pad Thai at Asheville's Noodle Shop with the ladies from Miss Fitt & Co. There was so much to see this year that I couldn't get around to it all. See a few shots below:
