Art and Soul of South End, Day 1

Then, a man in a giant banana suit was giving out balloons to the kids to promote the opening of The Common Market in South End. (The Common Market is a hip grocery stop famous in Charlotte.) Later in the day, someone in a lederhosen, a Germen hat, and a fake mustache skated around the streets blasting The Bee Gees (or something) from his boom box with an iPod taped to the front (also to promote the Common Market). Come out to Art and Soul Day 2 on Sunday- who knows what oddities are in store.
