Wedding Plans: A Tour of the Vineyard

Photobucket
Dan and my mom wander through the vines.

We recently visited Graham/Saxapahaw North Carolina to iron out some wedding details. It was a productive trip- We found the hotel we'll recommend to our guests and also our rehearsal dinner spot: The Eddy. It's an upscale pub on the Haw River with a cellar/vintage feel that serves food from local farms. Plus it's less than a mile from Benjamin Vineyards & Winery, where we'll get married. We stopped by the winery to decide which of their wines we'll have at the wedding (they make all of their wine on-site), and we also got an impromptu tour. So beautiful this time of year!

There's a quaint picnic area shaded by cedar trees, which we'll offer as a seating option for our casual dinner.

Let's go inside the winery.

  3. I can't wait to see how your wedding there turns out. We chose 10/29 as our date and very much look forward to having the backdrop of the trees.

The Eddy is a great spot, too. Nothing beats watching the sunset over the Haw from their patio.

  4. Sarah-

I'm so glad you guys ended up choosing Benjamin Vineyards! Are you still planning to do a sit down dinner for your guests? We are going a little more casual, with Hursey's BBQ. You might know them- they are not far at all from Pittsboro. Keep me updated on how your planning progresses!

  5. That looks wonderful! I loved this tour of the vineyard. Thanks a lot for sharing photos. We have also been planning to have an outdoor wedding so would prefer this kind of open LA venue. Hoping to find a good one within our budget.
