Alesha Walker of Delaware has won the Lark Crafts/Stitch Machine Book Giveaway! She entered the drawing by commenting on this blog. Alesha's free copy of the book Craft Corps by Vickie Howell, along with a few other knickknacks is in the mail! Congratulations to Alesha!
Thanks to everyone who entered the drawing. There were 27 entries total for this week-long contest, with a number of entries on Twitter, as well as a few on Facebook. It was so neat to hear about your crafty inspirations! It just proves that even though we are sometimes sitting alone while we do it, craft is something that connects us to others in our lives, people across the globe, and even people of generations past.
A little about the winner:
Alesha Walker is a proud graduate of West Virginia University and resides in Delaware with her boyfriend Ski, Cocker Spaniel Taffy, and foster dog Otis. She is currently working in Deleware to obtain her paralegal certificate. Alesha learned how to crochet during her lunch breaks at a law firm from a co-worker Pat Morey, who she now counts as a friend and mentor (see Alesha's comment about Pat on my blog). Seven years later Alesha is going to town making customized traditional crochet Sock Monkeys for her friends and family and calls her operation Monkey Business. Take a look at the details on a few of her customized creations- they will put a big smile on your face!
