Working in Nancy's Woodshop
On Thursday I worked all day in my friend Nancy's woodshop. (I talk a little about how I met Nancy in my Etsy Bio.) It was great to get out of my little bubble and into a new creative space. We were so productive! I worked on my summer update (summer line) and Nancy worked on her whimsical woodbox art pieces. They are funny but many contain some kind of social commentary or reminder of childhood. She was working on a farmer's market piece on Thursday.
For all you artists tucked away in your houses and studios, I really recommend working alongside another creative friend at least one day a week. One thing I miss about the traditional work environment is that there is always someone to talk to. So Thursday was very motivating and it was just nice to chat while working!
